Pension Plan Governance

The Bank of Canada has recently unveiled its new governance structure for our Pension Plan. This page is devoted to bringing together all of the information on the governance structure and the reaction to it.

While the new structure has some positive features, the Executive Committee is very concerned that it allows for no representation from the largest stakeholder group ~ those of us who have left the Bank, plus survivors. The BCPA has been lobbying the Bank to include representation from our stakeholder group on the key Pension Committee. It is vital to have representation on this committee because this is where all of the main decisions will be taken on our Pension Plan, before being "blessed" by the Board.
